Dr. Manisha Karandikar is a marketing professional with a corporate experience of 8 years and academic experience of 9 years. This combination of corporate and academic experience gives her a holistic view of the marketing function. Her corporate experience covers areas like Sales, Brand Management & Strategic Marketing. Manisha’s experience with Nicholas Piramal India Limited, has given her rich hands-on experience on launch of new products, managing ‘bread and butter’ brands of the organization and implementing Sales Force Automation project.
Manisha’s strong domain knowledge of marketing, coupled with data analytic skills and adequate operational experience makes her class an enriching experience for her students. As a faculty member, her professional expertise and an ability to connect with the students makes her a respected teacher
Manisha believes in the learning approach than the teaching approach and at FABS, she emphasizes on learning in the courses taken by her. She takes the following courses at FABS: Marketing Management, Marketing Strategy, Product & Brand Management and Consumer Buyer Behavior & Rural Marketing.
Manisha has recently finished her PhD in marketing from the reputed Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. Her doctoral research was on understanding the Impulse Buying Behavior of Indian consumers.
Dr. Ritesh Kumar completed his PhD in Management and Labour Studies at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He completed MMS with specialization in Human Resources from University of Mumbai. He read Modern History at Jawaharlal Nehru University.
He specializes in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior and Leadership. His research and teaching are located at the intersection of Critical Management Studies and Management Education. He believes in the interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and draws insights from a wide range of disciplines, including management, gender studies, philosophy, sociology, political science, and history. He has mentored many students and guided postgraduate research students on various research themes.
His research has been published in national and international journals. He reviews for numerous world-leading high-impact journals in management including Journal of Business Ethics, Organization, and Equality, Diversity, Inclusion. He is a member of the Academy of Management, Critical Management Studies Division. Currently, he is working on a collaborative research project along with global leading scholars from University of Bath and Indian Institute of Management-Kashipur.He has won a scholarship from Academy of Management, CMS Division to attend the online AoM conference in the year 2020.
A passionate teacher. Twenty-two years varied teaching experience at different levels of Management Education and Engineering education (Production & Mechanical).
Four years experience in automobile industry. It includes manufacturing of precision tooling and dies for sheet metal. Also Special Purpose Machine (SPM) manufacturing (for automobile components) and installation, PLC programing. Suggestions for process improvement have been successfully implemented.
He has written research papers at international and national level, pertaining to topics like Mass Customisation in service sector, Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) – For non-Manufacturing sectors, Process Improvement in Operations Management, BPR and its advantage for SMEs, Technology Obsolescence- to name a few. He teaches courses related to Operations domain.
Prasad’s strong belief that as humans we are more alike than different , ensured that he always felt at home while he studied, lived and worked in India, Armenia, Russia, Netherlands, Brazil, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
Analytical thinking from his MTech Engineering Education and Consumer behavioral thinking from his MBA Education helped him understand the role brands and its owners should play in consumer’s lives. He has worked in different sectors: FMCG, Retail, and Technology & Fashion with industry leaders like Perfetti Van Melle, Liz Claiborne, Mexx, Vertu (Nokia) & Reliance Brands.
His last global assignment was with VERTU where he was the CMO for the brand that was sold in more than 65 countries. His last Indian assignment was with Reliance Brands where he was the CMO (India) for Hamleys, Timberland and Paul&Shark.
Prasad’s passion for education and innovation made him give up a successful 20+ years of corporate life to start his own independent story as consultant, educator and brand strategist.
Prasad has assisted companies in their quest for meaningful and profitable solutions. Through his lectures and interactions he has inspired and counseled young students and start-ups as their mentor and advisor.

As the Head of a proposed TBI (Technology Business Incubator) he is leading the initiative with DST (Department of Science & Technology) to set up a start-up incubator in Navi Mumbai.
